Justice, a brand focused on tween girls with clothing, accessories and more, is launching an entertainment division, Justice Studios, that will create original content. The brand, which is part of the Ascena Retail Group Inc.
portfolio, has partnered with Elevate Pictures to develop projects staring with a graphic novel series called “Ultra Squad,” a documentary called “Finding Clara,” and the Live Justice Awards. Ultra Squad will follow a team of tween girls who battle an evil force to save Earth. “Finding Clara” will go behind the scenes to follow four dancers in the production of the “Nutcracker.” And the Live Justice Awards, which took place this year, will expand for the second year, according to the release. Ascena shares have soared 78.7% in 2018, outpacing the S&P 500 index
which is up 9.4% for the period.
