Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.
will continue to sell its generic version of OxyContin tablets at least through the end of 2007.
The Israel generic pharmaceutical company said that in October, it settled a patent dispute with Purdue Frederick Co. and some of its affiliates regarding Teva’s generic version of Purdue’s OxyContin tablets.
The company said the settlement provided a full release of Teva and its distributors, purchasers and patients and requires Teva to cease sales of the product upon the occurrence of certain contingencies.
