Papa John’s expands to Germany with help from franchise partner

Papa John’s International Inc.
announced a franchise partnership with PJ Western Group on Tuesday that will help the pizza delivery chain expand to the German market. Papa John’s plans to open 250 locations in Germany over the next seven years. The first seven have opened in Magdeburg and Leipzig with another six in Halle and Merseburg planned by the end of the summer. PJ Western Group has a previous franchise relationship with Papa John’s in Central and Eastern Europe. Papa John’s is in 50 global countries and territories. Papa John’s stock has gained 24% for the year to date while the S&P 500 index
is up 14.3% for the period.
