Weatherford International PLC said Chairman and Chief Executive Bernard J. Duroc-Danner is leaving the oil-field services company.
Duroc-Danner built Weatherford
into one of the biggest oilfield-services company by making more than 100 acquisitions over 20 years. But the company in recent years has struggled with undigested acquisitions and accounting problems, in addition to low commodities prices that have reduced oil and gas producers’ demand for drilling and completing wells.
