Joint Corp. Shares Rise 16% on Inclusion to S&P SmallCap 600

Joint Corp. shares were up 16%, to $67.23, after S&P Dow Jones Indices said the company would replace Cubic Corp. in the S&P SmallCap 600, effective prior to the opening of trading on Thursday.

Veritas Capital is acquiring Cubic in a deal expected to be completed soon pending final closing conditions.

Joint will be added to the Healthcare sector of the S&P SmallCap 600.

The stock hit its 52-week high of $69 earlier in the session.
