Guild Esports Chairman Steps Down, Appoints Derek Lew as Successor

Guild Esports PLC said Wednesday that its Executive Chairman Carleton Curtis has decided to step down and leave the company, and that director Derek Lew has been appointed nonexecutive chairman.

The U.K. owner and developer of e-sports teams said its operations and strategy won’t be affected by Mr. Curtis stepping down, and that it continues to trade in line with management expectations.

Mr. Lew has 25 years of capital markets experience in North America and the U.K. and is an active e-sports investors.

“Guild is making excellent progress on all fronts and I look forward to continue working with the board to create long term value for shareholders,” Chief Executive Kal Hourd said.

Shares at 0803 GMT were down 0.36 pence, or 4.5%, at 7.7 pence.
