Envision’s American Medical Response to be acquired by KKR’s Air Medical Group Holdings for $2.4 bln

medical transportation subsidiary American Medical Response will be acquired by KKR’s portfolio company, Air Medical Group Holdings, in a cash transaction valued at $2.4 billion. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter. Together, AMR and AMGH are expected to transport more than five million patients a year by air and ground ambulances across 46 states and the District of Columbia, the companies said. Once the deal closes, the company will get a new name. Envision shares have declined 2.1% over the last three months, compared with a 3.4% rise in the S&P 500
